Top Nitro 5mg Transdermal Patch is a nitrate. It is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. It works by relaxing the blood vessels thereby decreasing the oxygen demand of the heart and reducing its workload. It thus prevents attacks of angina (chest pain).
In Prevention of Angina (heart-related chest pain)Top Nitro 5mg Transdermal Patch helps in prevention as well as treatment of angina. Angina is a chest pain that is usually caused by narrowing of the blood vessels which supply your heart. This means your heart does not get enough oxygen. Top Nitro 5mg Transdermal Patch relaxes the muscles and blood vessels in your heart so more blood (and oxygen) gets to your heart. This reduces the pain and discomfort that angina causes.
