Afclav 375 Tablet is an antibiotic that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria. It is used to treat infections of the lungs (e.g., pneumonia), ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. It will not work for viral infections such as the common cold.Afclav 375 Tablet is best taken with a meal to reduce the chance of a stomach upset. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time daily will help you remember to take it. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for, but you should always complete an entire course of this antibiotic as your doctor prescribes. Please do not stop taking it until you have finished, even when you feel better. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive, and the infection may return or worsen.The most common side effects of Afclav 375 Tablet include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, fungal infections of the mouth, skin fold or vagina, skin rashes, and vaginitis. Alcohol: Consuming alcohol with Afclav 375 Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects. Pregnancy: Afclav 375 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. Breastfeeding: Afclav 375 Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Driving: Afclav 375 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Afclav 375 Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive. Kidney: Afclav 375 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Afclav 375 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Liver: Afclav 375 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. If Forget: If you miss a dose of Afclav 375 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Afclav 375 Tablet is to be taken with food.
Afclav 375 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.
In Treatment of Bacterial infectionsAfclav 375 Tablet contains two medicines, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.Afclav 375 Tablet can treat many bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin, teeth, joints, and bones. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to ensure all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
