Sandox CP 50mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the bacteria from synthesizing proteins that are necessary for it to survive and perform important functions. By doing so, it stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading.
In Prevention of MalariaIn India, as per the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), Sandox CP 50mg Tablet may be used for the treatment as well as prevention of malaria. Children coming from other countries and visiting malaria-endemic regions of India are advised to start Sandox CP 50mg Tablet a day or two before their visit and continue the same till 28 days after leaving the area.
