Hefcard 200 Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat heart failure. It reduces the risk of hospitalization and death in patients with long-lasting (chronic) heart failure. It is generally given along with other heart failure medications.Hefcard 200 Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day for maximum benefits. The dose, and how often you take it, will be decided by your doctor and may change depending on how well you respond to the medicine. Keep taking the tablets regularly, as they have been prescribed, and try not to miss doses to get the most benefit. Do not stop taking them, even if you are feeling well. The medicine prevents future complications.Common side effects of this medicine include angioedema, low blood pressure (hypotension), impaired renal function, and high potassium level in blood (hyperkalemia). To reduce the risk of dizziness that may caused by low blood pressure, try getting up slowly from a sitting or lying position. If these or other side effects are severe or do not go away, tell your doctor.Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines for blood pressure or heart conditions or if you have kidney or liver disease. Also let your doctor know all other medications you are using as they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. This medicine should not be taken during pregnancy and is not recommended while breastfeeding. While on treatment with this medicine, your doctor may advice regular monitoring of blood pressure and regular kidney function.
Alcohol:
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Hefcard 200 Tablet.
Pregnancy:
Hefcard 200 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding:
Hefcard 200 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving:
Hefcard 200 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney:
Hefcard 200 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Hefcard 200 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended. No dose adjustment is needed in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.
Liver:
Hefcard 200 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hefcard 200 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
If Forget: If you miss a dose of Hefcard 200 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
