Genotropin Injection works by blocking the effects of certain natural hormones in the body such as serotonin and growth hormone. It also decreases bleeding from food pipe by constricting (narrowing) the blood vessels.
In AcromegalyAcromegaly is a condition that is caused by the overproduction of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. Genotropin Injection helps to reduce the increased levels of growth hormone, restores them to normal and therefore prevents complication of acromegaly such as diabetes or heart diseases. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered.In Carcinoid tumoursCarcinoid tumors are slow-growing abnormal masses that occur in several parts of the body, chiefly, intestine, pancreas, colon, rectum, lungs etc. These tumors occur due to the oversecretion of certain hormones in our body. Genotropin Injection helps reduce these hormone levels to normal range and prevents further complications. Follow your doctorΓ’ΒΒs instructions to get maximum benefit. In Bleeding esophageal varicesEsophageal varices develop when normal blood flow to the liver is blocked by a clot or scar tissue in the liver. Genotropin Injection helps prevent abnormal growth of tissues that may cause these blockages and also helps control bleeding in such cases.show moreshow less
