Gcolate 2mg Tablet is a prescription medicine used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat peptic ulcers. It has anti-secretory effect, so helps to reduce excessive salivation and sweating. It may also be used before operations to reduce body secretions.Gcolate 2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose duration as advised by the doctor. Keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen.The most common side effects of this medicine are dry mouth, vomiting, flushing, increased heart rate, urinary retention, and drowsiness. It may also cause constipation, so eat adequate fiber and drink plenty of water. Dizziness and blurred vision may occur as a side effect. It is better to avoid driving and other things which require mental focus.Before taking Gcolate 2mg Tablet, let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. Let your doctor also know about if you have any preexisting medical conditions. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before taking this medicine.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. Breastfeeding: Gcolate 2mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.Long-term use of Gcolate 2mg Tablet might reduce milk production. Driving: Gcolate 2mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Gcolate 2mg Tablet may affect vision and coordination. This may affect your driving ability. Kidney: Gcolate 2mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gcolate 2mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Liver: There is limited information available on the use of Gcolate 2mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

If Forget: If you miss a dose of Gcolate 2mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
