Combitide Disk 25mcg/125mcg Tablet is used in the treatment of asthma (wheezing and shortness of breath) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (a lung disorder in which the flow of air to the lungs is blocked). It relaxes the muscles of the air passages and making it easier to breathe.Combitide Disk 25mcg/125mcg Tablet is taken in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, respiratory tract infection, fungal infections in the mouth, headache, dry mouth, hoarseness of voice, sore throat, cough, musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, and increased heart rate. If you get there, donΓ’ΒΒt stop taking it but do talk to your doctor. There are other, rarer side effects which can be serious. Talk to your doctor if you're worried about them. In general, you should be trying to avoid situations that make your asthma worse (your triggers) and try not to smoke.Ask your doctor whether itΓ’ΒΒs safe to take this medicine if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.
Alcohol:
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Combitide Disk 25mcg/125mcg Tablet.
Pregnancy:
Combitide Disk 25mcg/125mcg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Breastfeeding:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Combitide Disk 25mcg/125mcg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Combitide Disk 25mcg/125mcg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Salmeterol and Fluticasone Propionate. Salmeterol is a long-acting bronchodilator which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Fluticasone Propionate is a steroid. It works by stopping the release of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) of the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.
In Treatment of Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)Combitide Disk 25mcg/125mcg Tablet helps the airways in your lungs stay open. It relaxes the muscles of these airways. This makes it easier for air to get in and out. It will relieve symptoms such as tightness in your chest, shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing and help you carry out your daily activities more easily. This medicine is safe and effective. It usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Do not stop using it unless you are advised to by your doctor.
