Abbott Neostigmine 0.5mg Injection is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of myasthenia gravis (a disease-causing muscle weakness and tiredness), paralytic ileus (paralysis of intestinal muscles), postoperative urinary retention, and for reversal of effect of skeletal muscle relaxants after surgery.Abbott Neostigmine 0.5mg Injection works by reducing and improving muscle weakness. It is given as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment and never stop this suddenly without talking to your doctor. However, before taking this medicine it is better to inform your doctor if you are suffering from any kidney disease, Parkinson's disease, asthma, or stomach disorders.The most common side effects of this medicine are slow heart rate, nausea, andvomiting.
